  *  In 2001, I received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Western Oregon University with a      minor in  Biology.  I received a Masters of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University in 2004.

* Before teaching at Valley View Middle School I worked as a counselor for mentally ill teens and I  taught two years of Earth and Physical Science at Gordon Russell Middle School in Gresham Oregon.  I moved to the Seattle area in 2006.

*  This past year wife and I welcomed Laney Elizabeth into our family.  She is our first child and taking up a tremendous amount of our time!  When we do have a free moment, my wife and I are volunteer Puppy Raisers for The Guide Dogs School for the Blind.  Although I am not currently raising a dog my retired guide dog Cosgrove and Hunter will occasionally join us for class!  My wife and I also train year-round for Triathlons.  We have both completed Ironman triathlons in 2005 and 2007.  An Ironman triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run.  My wife finished in just under 14.5 hours and I completed just after 16 hours               ( I know...I know...I have heard all the jokes!!)
